WHS - Understanding - Daily Handicaps

Modified on Tue, 15 Oct at 11:48 AM

Thank you for contacting Golf Link regarding the calculation of a Daily Handicap under the World Handicapping System (WHS).

We would strongly suggest reading the article published by GA on their website, in particular PART D: Operational Guide, item 19. How to calculate a Daily Handicap under the WHS - https://www.golf.org.au/whs/

THE WHS FORMULA FOR AN 18 HOLE DAILY HANDICAP =  ((GA Handicap x Slope Rating / 113) + (Scratch Rating minus Par)) x 0.93

THE WHS FORMULA FOR A 9 HOLE DAILY HANDICAP =  ((GA Handicap x Slope Rating / 113) + ((Scratch Rating minus Par)x2)) x 0.93

Calculating a Daily Handicap does not involve PCC being used.

We hope this explains how the calculations are done and if after checking your handicap using the correct values for each field you still believe there is an issue, please email help@golf.com.au.

We will require your Golf Link number, date of play, the Club and Course you played on, if you could please include this in your reply.
