WHS - 9 Hole Handicapping Changes

Modified on Tue, 15 Oct at 11:43 AM

Thank you for your enquiry regarding changes to 9 hole score handicapping.

The 2024 changes to the Australian Rules of Handicapping are still being finalised.

An announcement by Golf Australia to all Australian clubs will be made in due course.

The international Rules of Handicapping are reviewed every four years by the two joint international governing bodies, The R&A and the United States Golf Association, in collaboration with Golf Australia.

They comprise a core set of Rules together with some discretionary items that enable each country to cater for the diverse golf playing cultures around the world.

Any information you may have seen on the internet about 2024 handicapping changes will relate to announcements tailored for a non-Australian jurisdiction or jurisdictions.
